8. work with vehicle providers for good handover procedures

12. examine and re-consider work schedules
13. look at routes, journey times and rest periods
14. carry out a risk assessment
15. develop and publish a road safety policy

Tom Jones, our senior consultant, has been involved in EU post test training projects, taken part in World Driver Training conferences, organised training courses for organisation in North America, the Carribean Islands, Middle East, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Ireland and other parts of Europe.

Tom is a Grade 6 Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, an ex-police advanced instructor with experience of coaching drivers of cars, goods vehicles, passenger carrying vehicles and motorcycles, in varying circumstances from response to pursuit, surveillance and anti-hijack. He is an accident investigator who has presented evidence in numerous fatal collision court cases, and has years of practise giving advice on road safety matters. He is a regular contributor on road safety and training issues on national radio and television.

Tom is also a Technician member of The Institution of Safety and Health and has been involved for several years in carrying out occupational road risk assessments and preparing Work Related Road Safety policies for the fleet and corporate industry.
